Childhood First Aid
This Childhood focused course is ideal for Parents, caregivers and anyone involved in Early Child Care. It focuses on CPR, Choking and common childhood injuries and illnesses. The emphasis on practical skills makes this half day course fun and interesting.
This course covers NZQA 25459, which is now a requirement for Early Childhood Care workers and covers:
- Safe management of the first-aid event, and treatment and support options
- Responses to anaphylaxis must show awareness of the use of emergency response plans for at-risk children
- Breathing, Bleeding, levels of conciousness
- seizures, fractures, burns, poisoning and anaphylaxis.
