Workplace First Aid
The Workplace First Aid course builds on the skills and knowledge covered in Basic First Aid and requires an extra day to complete. The extra time is to complete NZQA 6400 - in addition to 6402 & 6401 from the Basic course. On completion students will have the knowledge and skills to be a Workplace First Aider and the confidence to provide first aid in a variety of situations. The course can be tailored towards a particular workplace, although the core topics need to be covered first.

- Managing first aid in emergency situations
These unit standards meet the requirements of the Health and Safety in Employment Act for a workplace first aider.
